The Finance Department is responsible for maintaining the City's accounting and financial systems including accounts payable, payroll, investments, fixed assets, Crime Control and occupancy tax collections. Works with Mayor, City Council and City Administrator on preparing the annual budget. Our main goal of this site is to ensure that the citizens of Balcones Heights know about the finances of the city.

Budgets and audits are based on the city's fiscal year, running from October 1 to September 30. The budget approval is typically done at the September City Council Meeting, while the audit is typically accepted in January/February. The following documents are available for your review.
